Internet College Radio?

Wednesday, August 10, 2005
I have been toying with this idea for some time now.

If an internet radio station existed at SPC, how many people would listen to it? Would it be worth the trouble?

It would exist for the sake of service, and if there is no clientele to serve, then its purpose is pointless. I suppose it could mostly just be fun to do, but I am never enough reason to do anything.

The playlist would compose mostly of any music we have cd's for at the school... We can take requests for this song, that song, even a whole album. We can have weekly talk shows featuring this staff member or this funny guy.

All the client has to do is have winAMP on compy (and this can be later expanded to the ever-included windows media player) and know how to input a url into the program.

Also, we can hook up a thingy to make it play chapel services over the network, so that if you can't be in the chapel for the services you can still listen (great for RA's on duty).

What do y'all think?
